LGBTQ+ Affirming Therapy in Portland, Oregon
What is LGBTQ+ Affirming Therapy?
LGBTQ+ affirming therapy provides a space where your identity is celebrated. My goal is to create an inclusive, supportive environment for queer, trans, and gender-expansive individuals in Portland who are navigating emotional challenges, healing, and embracing their authentic selves. We’ll explore gender, sexuality, coming out, coping with stigma, building self-esteem, and fostering healthy relationships. I also specialize in supporting bisexual women and femmes facing invisibility and stress.

Choosing an LGBTQ Therapist
You deserve a therapist who understands and connects with you. My approach centers on a multicultural and social justice framework, which values intersectionality and the broader context of your lived experience. I aim to make therapy a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you feel seen and supported. Sessions with me include a good dose of warmth, curiosity and authenticity. I believe that you are the expert on your experiences and view my role as a collaborator and guide. I aim to help you identify and honor what’s working in your life, while addressing the areas where you feel stuck and are hoping for growth.
How Can LGBTQ+ Therapy Support You?
We can explore:
Identity: Understanding sexual orientation or gender identity.
Bisexuality: Addressing erasure, biphobia, and feeling “not queer enough.”
Coming Out: Navigating conversations with family, friends, or colleagues.
Gender: Exploring gender identity, alignment, coping with dysphoria, and experiencing gender euphoria.
Society: Understanding the impacts of oppression and privilege.
Anxiety & Depression: Tools for managing mental health in an affirming way.
Body Image: Exploring how queerness intersects with body image, chronic pain, disordered eating, and beauty standards.
I offer one free session per month for gender-affirming medical care or surgery letters in alignment with the Gender Affirming Letter Access Project.
